OUR Mentors

Our teen mentors come from FIRST Team Volunteers, FIRST Mentors, Ambassador Girl Scout troops, STEM Clubs and Robotics Student Leaders in Ventura County.

Our goal is to create an environment where students feel safe enough to ask questions, explore and seek answers. We challenge every student to try something new. Spatial skills and confidence appear to be the most persistent educational gap in cognitive skills for students considering STEM study (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).

The State of California Department of Education supports efforts to develop statewide and LOCAL projects like RoboRunner to improve students' entry into STEM fields.

RoboRunner puts spatial awareness skills in a box that travels to students--creating fun, discovery and encouraging skills for technology by introducing tin can robots and introducing Robotics teams.

Research demonstrates that over the next decade the world will need a large talented diverse workforce in the STEM fields and this needs to start EARLY.

At Robotics Champion: RoboRunner, we approach each child as an individual with their own talents and build collaborative teams. Our goal is to encourage students to explore STEM fields and ROBOTICS:
